Always love going to the continental tavern. My favorites are the chicken salad sandwich and the Nashville chicken sandwich. All of their food is amazing though! I love the history behind this place. Dining outside is lovely too!
I don't give many 5 stars, but once in a while I come across a place that is a step above the rest. I ordered a Ruben with fries and a beer. The Ruben had the perfect toast crunch just the right amount of meat to dressing ratio. Great Ruben taste, the fries were as Crispy as you could get without over cooking. Not your normal French fries much better. The bar tender John was super nice, talking to him he is a retired police officer of 30 years and so nice to talk to. Food came out quick and hot. I'm glad I had a nice cold beer on hand. Not often do I interact with the owners, but they were present in the bar talking to customers. It's nice to see hands on owners. Patty is one of the owners and turns out she volunteers at a local homeless shelter. How wonderful is that. Place is a old town pub and food is great, can't wait to try other items.
A great experience! Comforting, delicious bar food, but elevated and perfectly cooked! Fresh salads, gourmet burgers, expertly fried wings, and probably the best fish and chips we have ever had. It looked like it was going to be heavy and over-oiled, but it was so light and beautifully cripsy! I have already recommended this place to my friends, and we will definitely be coming back again!
They hosted us in a party of 10 Wednesday night. Such great food and the staff is very attentive. It was also the first time I had Mint chocolate chip ice cream in decades, which was a great way to end a great meal. We'll be back.

We’ve been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Tonight we were served by our favorite server, Taylor. She’s always friendly, attentive, and has a good sense of humor. My wife had the Drunken Turkey sandwich and fries. For the first time, I had the Corned Beef Reuben with sweet potato fries and WOW! The corned beef is homemade and thick cut. It was absolutely, delicious. I can’t believe it took me this long to try it. I’ll definitely be ordering it again.
Met the owner today on an underground railroad tour. I went on with a group that included this tavern as a stop. Not only was everybody friendly and attentive in terms of their staff, but the owner himself seems to care very much about the well-being of the people coming through as well as taking care of the building itself. Such wonderful historical value with a lot of information throughout the building itself. They also offer a very interesting tour where they talk about the history of the building as well as paranormal activity which comes with the territory of such a historic place!
Ate outside and had great weather and a nice breeze. Had the onion rings and they were really good and the whole onion didn't pull out when you but into it. Spouse had the million dollar burger it was huge and delicious. I had the drinking turkey and man it was great and huge. Lots of other choices on the menu which are probably great.
Finally made it to the Continental Tavern for the first time, and I am already looking forward to coming back! Even though it was extremely busy, we got seats at the bar, and served right away. Kelly was our bartender and she was great! She recommended the chicken salad wrap, and it was delicious. I was very impressed at how she handled the crowd at the bar, made drinks for the servers, and was changing kegs like a champ! Not to mention the perfect Espresso Martini she made for me. I also loved the vibe, there were several regulars that were so nice, they all talked to us, making us feel so comfortable. I've already recommended it to friends, and I will definitely be coming back!
We had an absolutely delicious late lunch with " Day Drinking ". Sat in the bar area, the bartender she was divine. Absolutely love her, the food, which we had burgers, excellent. Very friendly, service and the others patrons were extremely friendly..good gig. One of the best Long Island Iced Teas I've had in awhile.
